We continue to experience very slow connections with out servers, especially when connecting to cgi scripts on my host. I believe the host is partially to blame and our local networks is also partially to blame. However, since I am experiencing these problems when logging in outside of our local network (that is, from home), I believe it is time to either change hosts or do a major programming rewrite on the scripts.
More study is needed before I will be able to come to a conclusion.
Meanwhile, my users are very frustrated. And so am I!!!
